If you’re wondering what kind of place Crestwood is, here’s a little bit of insight from our members themselves. In a recent survey, we asked: “What has been the most special experience you’ve had this past year with Crestwood Christian Church?” Here are some of the responses we received:
“Friendliness and concern for each other.”
“The sermons!”
“Choir”
“Seeing the completion of the children’s wing. In the 6 years I have been here, I have seen the number triple or more. They are our future.”
“Being with Trish while she worked to save a vet and his family from being evicted from their home because of a medical emergency. It made me so proud to be a Crestwood member.”
“Maureen’s piano playing.”
“The support of an elder and ministers and others at Crestwood during hospitalization and surgery of family member.”
“Worship services.”
“Watching our children grow in their faith and love of God.”
“VBS.”
We also asked members why they give to Crestwood Christian Church. Here are just a few of the reasons:
“I feel led to further the Lord’s kingdom.”
“I strongly believe in the value of the Church’s teaching.”
“The church is my extended family and my way of helping those less fortunate than me.”
“God has blessed me and everything I have came from Him.”
“I receive so much from Crestwood, such as fellowship and opportunities for spiritual and intellectual growth.”
“I want to support both our local and world outreach efforts, as well as the ministries to our congregation.”
“I give because I feel like my contribution is something like the ‘five loaves and two fishes’ that have benefit way beyond what I could do by myself.”
“Biblical call to tithe.”
“It’s a great way to promote good in the world.”
“Giving thanks and to enable the church to care for the needs of the community.”
