Where do we go?
Upon arrival, please check your child in at the check-in desk in the Children’s Wing. Crestwood uses “Kid Check” software to provide a safe and secure environment for your child.
At 10:45 the children are invited to come into the sanctuary with you for the first part of service, and then come forward for Children’s Time. They will then be dismissed to attend their own special worship service. Worship and Wonder Greeters will take your children to their appropriate room. Following the Service you may pick up your Lambs in the Blue Room and your Lions in the Red Room in the Children’s Wing. Be sure to have your Kid Check Guardian receipt with you.
Curriculum: Each Sunday, we offer our children time to be still and worship. Our children already have a relationship with God. We don’t have to teach them everything they need to know about God, but we do have to offer them time. In Children’s Worship and Wonder, there is no curriculum beyond the telling of the Bible story. Worship and Wonder is a unique program that teaches children the basic foundation of worship and provides them with an opportunity to be with God. Through 'stories' told by trained storytellers, your child will be introduced to bible passages with an open-ended twist. Children will also sing songs, read bible verses, participate in 'feast' and offering, and learn about the church calendar. Adults are available to follow the children’s lead and listen to their needs as they develop their relationship with God. We have all the time we need. Children are given space and time to work through the weekly story and apply it to their own worship needs. When you pick up your child from Worship and Wonder, ask them, “How was worship today?” Help them to understand that there is no right or wrong answer. There is only the time to be still.
