Your financial gifts to Crestwood make a difference in the reach of our ministries. Below are suggestions for how you can donate to Crestwood. Thank you for helping to support our church.
- Cash
- Check
- Electronic Bill Pay via your bank
- Stock Donations
- Non-recurring Gifts or Payments using a Credit Card or PayPal
Cash
Cash can be given during any of our services or brought to the church office during business hours. Place it in an envelope (there are envelopes in the pew racks in the sanctuary) and, if you wish, designate the purpose of your gift on the envelope and, optionally, your name.
Check
Checks made out to “Crestwood Christian Church” can be given during any of our services, brought to the church office during business hours or mailed to:
Crestwood Christian Church
1882 Bellefonte Drive
Lexington, KY 40503-2046
Use the check’s memo line to designate the purpose of your gift such as pledge, in memory of, etc.
Electronic Bill Pay via your bank
Most banks allow you to “pay bills” online, many without charge. You can also schedule recurring payments, e.g to pay your pledge monthly. To setup this capability, contact your bank or check their website. As with any other donations, you should designate the purpose of your gift such as pledge, in memory of, etc.
Stock Donations
Gifting stock or securities to Crestwood Christian Church provides Crestwood with the market value (less transaction fees) of the donated stock while potentially providing the donor the opportunity to avoid income tax on any gains represented by its appreciated value. Your might also qualify for a tax deduction for the full amount of the donation when you file your annual tax return. For information about how to make the gift, please contact the church office. As with all tax related matters, always consult your personal tax adviser for implications specific to your situation.
Non-recurring Gifts or Payments using a Credit Card or PayPal
Crestwood offers the capability to make non-recurring gifts/payments through a credit card. It is done using PayPal but a PayPal account is not necessary to make a donation. When you click on the Donate button below, you will be taken to a PayPal webpage. On that page you may enter the amount of your gift/payment and either your credit card information or, if you have an account, you may go to PayPal to make the payment. After you enter the amount and credit card information, you will be taken to another screen where you should enter the purpose of your gift/payment, for example a memorial gift, summer camp fee, church dinners, etc. The payment is then processed and both you and the church will receive appropriate confirmations. Note that the church will have to pay a fee on each gift of 2.2% + $.30. As an example, for a gift of $100 that would be $2.50. You might want to consider adding to your gift an amount to cover the fee.
